How is BusyDwarf Played?[]

Danger skull

Busy Dwarf Digging

BusyDwarf has some aspects of an "Endless Runner" like Temple Run, Minion Rush, Flappy Bird or  Doodle Jump. You swipe aggressively left and right to avoid oncoming obstacles and score points as depth(metres travelled) and gems(5 types of gems collected). But in BusyDwarf you don't start from the beginning every time! How is that so? When you earn HeadStarts, your Dwarf continues at a checkpoint ready to complete the next Contract. BusyDwarf is in a whole new setting where you can pickup and equip Shovels, HeadLamps and Rings to buff your Dwarf. Activate abilities and change position to pass Danger Zones which are a form of Boss Challenge. Read on to find out more!

Activate Busy Gems

BusyDwarf is played on Mobile games - Swipe with your fingers Left and Right to move your Dwarf to the sides. You will be trying to avoid rocks and collect gems. To activate special abilities you use gestures such as "Swipe Up Twice" or "Holding Down for 2 seconds". If you need to pause the game at anytime, tap the menu at the top left or press your back button on Android devices. At the bottom of the screen is your Health Bar in green which reflects how much more damage you can take, as well as a blue Mana Bar for using abilities.

Objectives[]

Contract

Playing BusyDwarf you have several achievements to get busy with. Foremost, instead of Levels, there are a series of Contracts (to dig a certain depth) with the EVIL WIZARD that will earn you gold. While doing so, any gems you collect are yours and you compare these on Hiscore Rankings. The gems can be spent in the shop but are also used to compete with in Events. Also you can improve your Dwarf by getting equipment from drops or the shop.

Things to Look Out For[]

On each run you will be trying to avoid rocks, if you dig into them you take damage! As you move close to gems you pick them up automatically.

There are also treasure chests and treasure cups which are useful for giving boosts as well as the occasional equipment drop. If you are really lucky you could get a rare equipment!

Progression[]

Headstart up

HeadStart Collected

As mentioned before, a marked difference between BusyDwarf and other "Endless Runner" games isthat you can get HeadStarts to continue your depth progress. As such you are always able to digdeeper to complete contracts. Remember to purchase those HeadStarts in the shop.

Completing Contracts are checkpoints along the way to give gold reward. There are also intermediate checkpoints called BusyBonus which usually give you a heal and speed bonus.

As you dig deeper, the Dwarf digs faster, covering greater distance (meters) at a greater speed i.e. the time taken to dig 100m could be 10s at the start but only 2s later on. The speed is primarily controlled by the Power rating of your Shovel. While the gem collecting radius is dependent on the Power rating of your HeadLamp.
